For our client, a international campaign specialist in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Sourcing Assistant for the purchase department.
A sourcing assistant is involved in the pre-production (planning/sourcing) stage and will take responsibility for leading the strategic sourcing activities for our projects. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape the future of procurement within this dynamic environment with a clear strategic direction.
As a sourcing assistant you will be working on the following tasks:
- Achieving cost reductions;
- Managing and improving vendor service levels and materials quality;
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate and close framework agreements of products and services;
- Develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers markets and trends;
- Analysis of supply and demand trends, perform best-in-class negotiation processes;
- Supplier relationship management on both a global and regional basis;
- Vendor performance management;
- Drive product demand optimization.

To qualify for this position you meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor or masters degree;
- Fluent in Dutch & English;
- Good negotiation skills and supplier relationship management skills;
- Driven, strong strategic and analytical thinker;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel/Word);
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;
- Good with deadlines and working in a stress related environment;
