Job Description Project Manager Media

For an international media organization which manufactures and distributes over 80 channels around the globe, we are looking for a Media Project Manager. The organisation has 27 nationalities working together under one roof since 1999 and therefor they have developed a unique culture. They have become experts at finding solutions to the complex problems that you only find with international media.

In the position of Project Manager you oversee the planning, coordination, budget, implementation, tracking and closure multiple operational projects that vary in size and complexity. You ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within scope and budget and at the required level of quality.

Main Responsibilities:

Plan the project

Define the scope of the project or operational request in collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers;
Create a (detailed) (project) plan which identifies and sequences the activities, milestones and deliverables needed to successfully complete the project;
Complete the project within the boundaries of the determined scope, time and budget;
Effectively manage and monitor required resources hours to the activities;
Perform solid stakeholder management on all levels within the organization; internal and external.

Implement the project/ Activitiy

Execute the project according to the project plan;
Effectively use the available project documentation;
Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project;
Set up regular updates with the project team and/or internal stakeholders, review the quality of the work completed on a regular basis to ensure that this meets the project deliverables.

Control the project

Monitor and report on approved scope, time and budgeted project objectives;
Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date;
Evaluate the project;
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

It concerns a temporary position for 6 months for a maternity cover.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

College degree or equivalent;
At least 2 - 4 years professional experience in project management and coordination of multiple operational activities, or a profile that proves these qualities;
Preferred: Knowledge of project methodologies (e.g.Prince2, Scrum, ITIL) or equivalent;
Experience in Media or Digital industry is a pre;
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
Knowledge of MS-Office software (MS-Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint,);
Able to work independently or as part of a team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills;
Ability to cope with multiple high pressure assignments and used to meeting deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy;
Strong organizational and operational skills, able to plan effectively, anticipate on issues and solving problems;
Good standard of English required, Dutch desirable.
