Job Description Web designer
For an international organization dealing in office supplies we are looking for a web designer for the marketing studio. As designer you are part of the studio which is located in the European head office in Amsterdam.
In this position you are responsible for the creative execution, production and prepress paper productions and design projects. You will ensure local and corporate marketing objectives are met and that all projects are completed accurately and on schedule. As part of the European Publishing team, the Desktop Designer will work closely with other teams and your tasks will include designing web layouts based on local or European standardization, creating automated templates and finalizing DTP work.
Responsibilities
» Works together with Account services, Creative Department and implements the suitable corporate graphic paper solutions
» Finalizes DTP required and related prepress duties including color specifications, photos, illustration sizing and final electronic art preparation for web
» Learns and uses tools used by the European and US teams to create web campaigns and to communicate with the business
» Actively participates in the continuous improvement process to discover efficiencies, make recommendations for standardization of layout (including promotions, catalogues, circulars, direct mail, in store signs, collateral materials and PR promotional campaigns) and get the most automate process in place
» Gets working knowledge of company brand guidelines
» Be the contact person from the studio and follow up the planning with external suppliers
» Makes sure that the jobs are delivered on time and with the negotiated in the SLA quality

Our favorite candidate 'Web designer'
» College or Bachelors‘s degree, preferably with a graphic design focus
» In-depth knowledge of css Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, In Design, Illustrator)
» Good knowledge in HTML5, css and Java
» Fluent mastering of English language » At least 5 years of working in a pre-press studio
» Able to cope with a busy working environment and concentrate under pressure, working to deadlines and to work on own initiative and follow jobs through
» Work experience in an international company
