Job Description Junior Digital Designer
For an international organization dealing in office supplies we are looking for desktop designers with a speciality in digital design. As designer you are part of the studio department which is located in the European head office in Amsterdam.
In this position you are responsible for the production of designs and templates for web publications like emails, banners, website and other online advertising.
You will ensure local and corporate marketing objectives are met and that all projects are completed accurately and on schedule. As part of the European Publishing team, the junior Designer will work closely with other teams and your tasks will include paper and online layouts based on local or European standardization, creating automated templates and finalizing DTP work.
Responsibilities
- Works together with Account services, Creative Department and implements the suitable corporate graphic and design web solutions.
- Finalizes DTP required and related prepress duties including colour specifications, photos, illustration sizing and final electronic art preparation for paper and web publications.
- Learns and uses tools used by the European and US teams to create paper campaigns and to communicate with the business.
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement process to discover efficiencies, make recommendations for standardization of layout (for print promotions, catalogues, circulars, in store signs, collateral materials and PR promotional campaigns) and get the most automate process in place.
- Ability to understand and work independently according to process.

Education, Skills & Experience
- College or Bachelorss degree, preferably with a graphic design focus
- In-depth knowledge of Photoshop also some InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Illustrator)
- Some knowledge of HTML/CSS
- At least 2 years relevant work experience
- Commercial sense
- Fluent mastering of English language
- Able to cope with a busy working environment and concentrate under pressure, working to deadlines and to work on own initiative and follow jobs through
- Work experience in an international environment.
